The Experience

YAY family photos!!! Said no one ;). If you're like most, you dread having your photo taken and fear that your kids will be hot messes. I get it. But, I promise this experience is atypical. The #1 thing I hear from Moms AND Dads after sessions is "wait, that was actually really fun". And for kids, the time feels more like play than anything else. I’m not worried about hot messes, but I need you to let go of perfection. Kids are uninhibited and wear their hearts on their sleeves -- I have low expectations for listening and high expectations for feelings. And you should too!

You can expect me to guide, instigate, and keep you moving and engaged. You will never hear me say “Cheese!”; silly voices and faces, terrible dance moves, general goofiness... that's more my style. And be prepared to share your favorite artists or genres because I love to stream music. If you ask me to choose, get ready for Motown or Jock Jams!

Note: I have family and newborn services grouped together because to me, they are very similar. I don’t use props or stage newborns in poses — I have family members hold them just like I do in regular family photo sessions, so it’s very natural and authentic. There are some slight nuances but nothing significant.
